COVID-19 is confusing. Each country is on a different timeline, there’s too little and too much information. For people who can’t read, it’s downright horrifying. Recognizing that “infodemics” create barriers for low-literacy populations, we synthesized complex global health data into a non-verbal, iconographic system, ensuring life-saving information was accessible to everyone, regardless of language or literacy level.
